El Caminito is a small, colourful section of streets in Buenos Aires' barrio of La Boca. Here the buildings are covered in brightly painted sheets of metal, representative of the patchwork of construction made by the mostly poor Italian immigrants to the area in the late 19th century.Today many tourists are attracted to Caminito to wander along the streets and peruse the paintings and other artworks on display. It's a nice place to enjoy a meal in one of the outdor cafés and watch Tango dancers perform in the street.
